Ritwick Varma

Graduate Automobile Engineer with a Masters degree in Aerodynamics and Computation from the University of Southampton. I have experience working in industries with various internships in the automobile sector. I have experience in CAD packages like Solidworks, CATIA, Siemens NX CAD and simulation packages like Ansys CFD, STAR CCM+, SU2 CFD, Open foam.

The supercomputer IRIDIS of the University of Southampton motivated me to apply for the master's degree in Aerodynamics and Computation. I took up the project Aerodynamics of Hyperloop as part of my dissertation. I successfully redesigned the Virgin Hyperloop one model for my simulation. I had a chance to work in the supercomputer and gain a lot of experience. My innovative approach to the project led to the formation of new case studies that were simulated, and the results were quite astonishing.

The development of Automobiles and Aircraft motivates me to pursue a career in the design and simulation of Automobiles and Aircraft. After my graduation, I studied many real-world problems concerning the design of Automobiles and Aircraft and have taken some of them as part of my research. I've been trying to design and develop models to solve these problems. The experience that I have gained over the years be it working to a design team in my undergraduate or the dissertation in my MSc is something that I would like to use in the company that I will get hired to.
